Token Imagination is looking for GUERILLA POETRY!
– submissions invited and due August 1
GUERRILLA POETRY!
Token Imagination is looking for flexes of language to engage the CBD in this quirky Public Poetry Initiative. This initiative will be implemented in the lead-up to the Seventh Australian Poetry Festival. This year held at the Rex Centre, Kings Cross, 3-4 September 2010 (www.poetsunion.com).
GUERILLA POETRY is a form of temporary graffitti, as gorillas and poetic thoughts migrate with public participation. Playfully placing poetry in the public eye, 3D and off the page.
Ten poets will be chosen to have their work distributed across several key CBD locations from the 23th of August to the 1st Sept. Selected works will be printed on one thousand magnetized, speech bubbles and installed with four hundred accompanying gorilla statuettes in urban spaces.
All poetry will be considered regardless of style or pictorial structure. Innovation is the prerogative!
