Theme: Between Title: HOBART POETRY POT, LAUNCHES, READINGS Date: Sunday 3rd September Time: 3-5.30 pm Venue: Republic Bar & CafÈ 299 Elizabeth St Hobart Contact: Liz Winfield Phone (03) 6272 9324 Details: 6 Poets:Alice (young poet), Josh Harvey (young poet), Terry Whitebeach, Philomena van Rijswijk, Carolyn Fisher (NW Tas), Cameron Hindrum (Launceston). The Hobart Poetry Pot: $100 1st prize + name inscribed on the Poetry Pot which is on display during the year at the Hobart Bookshop. Conditions: 1) Enter on day, entry is free. 2) Random draw for performance order. 3) Absolute 1-minute time limit. Time starts at your first word. 4) Judges to be chosen at random from the audience. 5) The poem must be the original work of the performer and may be published pieces. 6) No musical accompaniment. Any props must be carry on/ carry off. Launch with readings of Picaro Press Wagtail chapbooks by Tasmanian poets Adrienne Eberhard, Louise Oxley, Kathryn Lomer and Gina Mercer.
